Mild toning to margins; two fold lines across the sheet. Impression clean.


From Decker's Fürstlicher Baumeister, the influential Baroque architectural treatise first published in 1711. The plate depicts an idealized royal pleasure palace in the grand Baroque manner, with fountain courtyard, statuary, and figures in period dress. Decker (1677–1713) was court architect in Berlin and a leading theorist of German Baroque architecture.
