Impression clean and sharp. Mat very good; slight toning to outer mat edges.
One of the departmental maps from Levasseur's atlas, the standard illustrated geographical work of mid-nineteenth-century France. Each plate was engraved on steel and printed with exceptional detail, the surrounding vignettes documenting the agriculture, commerce, and notable figures of the department.
