Bird's-eye view of Hill Court near Thornbury, Gloucestershire, showing the formal gardens, stables, church, and surrounding woodland in characteristic detail. Drawn and engraved by Johannes Kip (c.1653–1722), the Amsterdam-born engraver who settled in London after 1688 and became the principal recorder of English country seats in the early 18th century. The plate appeared in both Britannia Illustrata (vol. 2) and Robert Atkyns’ The Ancient and Present State of Gloucestershire (1712). The Fust baronetcy, created in 1662 for a Royalist loyalist in the Civil War, held Hill Court until the line became extinct in 1779.
