4to. 160 pages (unpaginated), 100 hand-colored plates with the 1813 supplement bound at rear (with separate title page, dedication leaf, 14 pages, and 10 plates). One of the outstanding aquatint books of the early nineteenth century with important early depictions of Aboriginal life. The text and plates are in lovely condition. Small leather ex-libris label of Alfred Barmore Maclay on front paste-down. Pencil note indicates this book was sold at Parke-Bernet auction house on 4/10/1945, item number 224. The three-quarter green morocco and cloth binding is worn at the edges and the spine is sun-faded, else very good indeed.
