4to. Three-quarter calf over marble boards, 4 raised bands and gilt titles on red and black to spine. Twenty-one engraved plates, including the frontisportrait in Volume One and folding map in Volume Two. Scattered toning, foxing, and  scuffing to edges. Volume one professionally rebacked. Volume two has previous owner's ink signature to ffep and also top of title page; early paper repair at bottom of title page and folding map professionally repaired. Both volumes foxed.
